The main roles and responsibilities of a disability support worker:

- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities and routines.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances.
- Assist with mobility and transportation, including transferring individuals in and out of wheelchairs or vehicles.
- Support individuals in accessing community activities, social events, and recreational opportunities.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to individuals with disabilities.
- Administer medication and assist with medical tasks under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other members of the support team to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of support activities, progress, and any incidents or concerns.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring that they are treated with dignity, respect, and equality.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $33.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Wattle Grove, WA 6107 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Wattle Grove, WA 6107: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
