- Start of shift
- Ensure SAES Team Members have signed in before commencing tasks
- Ensure SAES Team Members are wearing protective clothing (ie aprons and non-slip, closed-toe shoes) and equipment (ie gloves) when engaged in catering activities
- Ensure SAES Team Members are wearing branded clothing (where available)
- SAES Site Team Leader must wear branded clothing and/or vest identified for team leaders
- Induct new Team Members and brief the whole team of their shift’s tasks, goals and other relevant information
- Pre service preparation
- Oversee SAES Team Members in the set up of the catering site to ensure it is suitably stocked and clean ready for service
- Ensure SAES Team Members keep the work area and surroundings are clean and hygienic, and that dishes are cleaned from previous meal service (if required) and rubbish is cleared
- Ensure gas bottles are sufficiently filled or delegate Team Member to refill as required
- Provide quality customer service
- Ensure the Catering Team delivers a courteous, friendly and caring environment and display professionalism and integrity at all times
- Listen carefully, and acknowledge and refer concerns, issues or queries to Senior Team Leader ASAP
- Liaise with agency and TSA personnel and provide daily reports to Senior Team Leader or State Coordinator or Designated Operational Support Team Member
- Respond to media enquiries. Remind Team Members they are not permitted to engage with media without prior permission from Site Team Leader or State Coordinator.
- Respond to donors and ensure donations are kept secure until donations can be processed. Remind Team Members they are not permitted to accept donations.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Immediately report any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses, to Senior Team Leader and ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified
- Ensure Team Members have the correct personal protective equipment and appropriate fit-for-purpose implements to carry out tasks
- Ensure Team Members operate within confined spaces in a considered, planned and calm manner
- Ensure your and the team’s personnel safety
- Ensure Team Members keep food service areas clean and hygienic
- Ensure hazard, incident and accident form is completed by the end of shift
- End of shift
- Ensure all provided branded or protective clothing and equipment is returned by Team Members
- Ensure Team Members have signed out attendance and noted time of departure from site
- Qualifications and experience requirements for the Role
- Completion of SAES Team Member training and general TSA induction modules before commencing in the role
- Experience in leading and directing teams
- Experience in customer and food service preferred
- Mandatory requirements of the Role
- 2 referees if not previously engaged in SAES
- Current Criminal History Check
- Must be 18 years or over
- Good understanding of English language
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to climb ramps & stairs (to enter catering truck)
- Must attend pre-shift briefing and induction
- Time Commitment
- 4 hour shifts (max 3 shifts consecutively as agreed with Senior Team Leader)

- Works effectively with an interpreter as required, in line with organizational guidelines
