RiverCity Ferries proudly operates the iconic CityCats, KittyKats, and Cross River Ferry networks on behalf of the Brisbane City Council. We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Brisbane City Council's ferry fleet and the associated infrastructure along the Brisbane River. Our network spans over 20 kilometers, operating 30 vessels and multiple terminals, including a maintenance and operations facility at Rivergate. We serve more than 5 million passengers each year.

**About the Role**

The HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) coordinator plays a crucial role within the RiverCity Ferries team by implementing and controlling health, safety, environmental, and quality initiatives and strategies. Working closely with the leadership team, employees, and other key stakeholders, the HSEQ coordinator's expertise and dedication to maintaining a safe workplace will significantly contribute to the overall success of the business.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain and continually improve the HSEQ and Vessel Safety Management Systems.
- Maintain the ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 certifications while managing associated assurance activities.
- Continuously improve employee and management education and awareness.
- Conduct effective incident investigations to determine contributing factors and root causes.
- Perform regular site visits, inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
- Conduct Drug & Alcohol testing according to policies and procedures.
- Drive, monitor, report, and continuously improve HSEQ performance.
- Manage workers' compensation claims.
- Promote a safe working environment and coordinate risk management processes.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant regulatory and company safety requirements.

**What We Are Looking For**
- A confident, experienced, organised, and results-driven HSEQ professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A highly motivated individual capable of driving change and continuous improvement initiatives while fully engaging with our workforce.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- A diploma or higher in work health and safety.
- Trained in ICAM Incident Investigations or equivalent.
- Experience in maintaining ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 certifications. Knowledge of WHS, Environmental, and Marine legislation is desirable.
