**Purpose of this role
To ensure all Woolworths retail businesses and vendors are being paid correctly. This role will investigate and help resolve all claims and discrepancies arising from a supplier providing products to DC’s and/or stores.

**About this role
As a Claims Investigator, you will be at the forefront of uncovering the truth and protecting our businesses and vendors interests. You will liaise with a range of teams across areas like Finance, Buying, Trade Relations, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Buying Support, IT, etc.

You will be involved in:

- Timely investigation of supplier claims, with recommendations supported by documented evidence.
- Provide Reporting on Claims to the Claims Manager
- Provide Master Data and Promotional support and coaching to the Business Units &/ Commercial teams to prevent future claims and discrepancies.
- Provide insight on Merchandise systems and processes that interact to cause the claims to the Buying Team
- Understand how Merchandise Systems interact with other systems (e.g. Logistics, stores)
- Understand the End to End process for rebates and payments
- Be able to extract and interpret raw data from corporate systems for interrogation and investigation
- Provide guidance to the commercial team/suppliers to mitigate ongoing issues

- Background in FMCG / Retail preferred
- Experience having worked in commercial environments
- Understanding of invoicing/rebate systems will be highly beneficial
- Strong engagement, facilitation and communication skills
- Proven stakeholder management skills
- Ability to deal with empathy
- Ability to participate in a team environment
- Have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Biased toward factual analysis to support decision-making and recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to stay focused and target and goal-oriented
