**About the Role**

Based in Dandenong South, we are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to lead a small team of forklift operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The main responsibilities are loading steel frames for transport and moving frames within the factory and yard. The role also coordinates and oversees the dispatch of finished products to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.

Hours are 7:00 AM - 3:06 PM, Monday to Friday, overtime may be required.

**Requirements**:
The successful applicant must possess the following:

- Current LF Licence
- Assist in stock control, including tracking materials and finished products
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environment
- Knowledge of light gauge steel frames or building products advantageous
- The ability to perform manual handling when required
- Experience handling large, bulky, or awkward loads, ideally in steel or construction materials
- Leadership and team management skills
- Have a safety first attitude
- Be physically fit
- Punctual and reliable.

**Duties**

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Coordinate daily dispatch operations in alignment with production schedules and delivery timelines
- Supervise and support a small team of forklift operators, ensuring safety, productivity, and adherence to company procedures
- Operate forklifts safely and in accordance with company policies and safety requirements
- Load, unload, and move steel frames and other materials within the production facility and yard
- Handle light gauge steel frames with care to prevent damage during movement and storage
- Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance of forklift equipment, reporting any issues promptly
- May require lifting and manual handling of materials within safe limits
- Assist with general yard duties, including organisation and housekeeping.

This role is permanent fulltime with an immediate start.

You must have reliable transport, be self motivated and able to work both autonomously and in a team in the factory when required. You will also be required to provide a copy of your Forklift Licence.
