Working within the Pacific Sales team and reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will require a professional Sales Representative/Territory Manager who is driven and passionate about sales. You will be responsible for effectively selling, training, educating and supporting brand activations across a broad range of customers on TaylorMade products within your designated area. On occasion you will be asked to assist with fitting events but should not take up more than 5% of your available working time. Any fitting responsibilities over 5% of your available time should be reported to sales manager for approval. The primary function of your role is to act as a sales representative within your
territory and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and utilise CRM to a high standard to ensure the accuracy of record maintenance, along with adding relevant customer information
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers by being able to recommend the correct product to enhance player performance
- Complete all training set out by TM from both global and local teams
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and actively seek support if numbers are falling short
- Engage customers to utilise B2B platform
- Be an expert in TM systems e.g ISFA, Dynamics, T-Direct
- Support procedures as advised from Head Office (e.g. ensure expenses are submitted accurately and on time)
- Actively and enthusiastically assist with the roll out of sales strategy as directed by Sales Manager and General Manager/Director
- Support business strategy and overall business goals
- Demonstrate excellence in customer management and in executing seasonal range requirements
- and new product launches
- Actively create sell in and sell through strategies relevant for your territory
- Ensure alignment of brand and product initiatives to both customer and consumer
- Prepare and deliver professional client sales presentations quarterly and product presentations when appropriate (e.g training events)
- Maintain and develop relationships with accounts within your region
- Assist in the planning and coordination of schedules with the TaylorMade Experiential, Product & Marketing Teams
- On occasion conduct benchmark fitting, demo and experiential days when called upon or with Manager approval
- Expertly merchandise accounts and ensure all POS/marketing meets TM standards
- Actively communicate marketing and POS sale support to marketing/retail team
- Ensure all demo/sample inventories are profitably managed and cleared on phase out timelines
- Plan and execute in-store training to coincide with new product launches
- Offer education of technical information to customer and consumers
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Deep understating of the golf market and its products and has an active interest in the game
- Meticulous planning ability and effective diary management to ensure deadlines are always adhered to
- Strong interpersonal skills: exceptional communication skills and negotiating abilities as well as high presentation, relationship management and facilitation skills
- High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge (e.g. sales, trade marketing, finance and controlling)
- Analytical skills for business planning and decision making
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong decision making and determination with a high level of initiative
- Frequent travel is a requirement of the role.
Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree/tertiary qualifications with marketing and sales focus (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in either experiential, wholesale or retail sales ideally with a passion for Golf or FMCG
- IT skills: Intermediate MS Office Skills
