**About Monash Health Pathology Service**

Alfred Health and Monash Health have established a formal partnership to deliver a Shared Pathology Service as one of two new pathology networks for metropolitan Melbourne. All roles in the Pathology Programs are working to develop the Partnership and ensure we continue to provide high quality care across the health Services. Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There are currently 19 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.

**Now Recruiting a Laboratory Assistant Grade 1 (Part Time - 20 hours per fortnight)**

We are currently seeking a laboratory Assistant Grade 1 for the Microbiology Unit at the Clayton site to participate in the Microbiology laboratory service. The laboratory offers a 24 hour service and the successful applicant will be required to participate in the rotating roster inclusive of evening and weekend shifts. This position would suit a student studying for a dregree course in Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science)

**What you need to know**

Ideally the successful applicant will be studying for a Degree in Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or recognised equivalent and is, or intend to, major in Microbiology.
