**Your new role**
The purpose of this position is to manage and maintain the IT Helpdesk to ensure it is complete, current and consistent.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Helpdesk Administration
- Provide a professional, friendly and customer-oriented approach at all times.
- Triage IT Helpdesk requests, allocating requests, as appropriate, between team members.
- Promptly and efficiently, respond to, and solve, queries and requests for assistance from users.
- Where appropriate, provide basic training for users.
- Assist in the administration of all networks, including administration of domain, exchange, SQL and other servers.
- Monitor data communications, correcting problems as required.
- Monitoring backups and server logs.
Hardware and Software
- Order, install and retire workstation hardware, under the supervision of the Network and Systems Administrator.
- Maintain inventory records of IT equipment.
- Provide support and maintenance of hardware, including placing warranty calls etc.
- In conjunction with the Network and Systems Administrator, install new and upgrade existing desktop software systems.
- Provide Level 1 software support services for users.
