**About the Role**

This role is responsible for providing support to internal customers and the procurement team through the ongoing improvement of the procurement function and management of supplier relationships to provide better outcomes for Capral. This role will also be responsible for the vendor management, vendor selection, quoting and procurement of extrusion.

**Key Tasks**:

- Develop relationships with Capral's suppliers on pricing, order placement and claims.
- Price negotiation with domestic and international vendors.
- Assist business to determine ongoing supply requirements and 'at risk' vendors.
- Develop and implement vendor service level agreement and manager performance.
- Assist in contract reviews, vendor and tender processes.
- Order management of imported extrusion.
- Creation and maintenance of contract databases.
- Administration of freight forwarding function including customs clearance, transport and shipping.
- Liaise with Product Development in the specification and prototyping phase of newly introduced products and vendor selection.
- Other tasks as required in this position.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Relevant qualifications in Procurement or experience in a similar role
- Ability to work to reporting deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Proven problem solving, research and diagnostic skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities
- Intermediate to advanced literacy with Microsoft Excel
- SAP and MS Office experience (desirable).
