Application Integration Specialist

Our client is a non-for-profit organisation, they are rapidly growing their business that focuses on improving the lives of people. The Application Integration Specialist will assists with the design, development and support of the integration platform and solutions that support the business. Using DevOps concepts and Agile as an approach the Application Integration Specialist is responsible for the planning, coordination, solution development and implementation related to the integration of solutions within the organisations integration environment
**Role and responsibilities**
- Participate in planning of integration projects and corresponding strategies between business functions, development teams and partners.
- Identify and resolve system issues related to the businesses integration platform and supporting integration points.
- Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.
- Identify common patterns and document best practices for integration.
- Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Continually develop skills in the integration technologies in place in the AI environment, as well as staying informed on new developments in integration technology.
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions within the organisation's architectural principles, policies, and guidelines.
- Assist with problem determination and resolution efforts when operational issues with integration solutions arise.
- Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions to provide proactive operational support in the integration environment.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
- Where necessary, provide guidance to junior members of the team.
**Skills**
- Relevant industry or tertiary qualifications.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in reporting and business intelligence technologies, (SSRS, Power BI etc.)
- Experience working on IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
- Direct, hands-on experience with the integration tools in Azure.
- Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
- Competency with XML constructs and schemas.
- Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
- Experience with securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods.
