Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a proudly family-owned childcare centre with over 10 years of experience in the early childhood education and care industry. We provide high-quality education for children aged 9 months to 6 years, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

We are now seeking a motivated Room Leader / Lead Educator to join our passionate team.

**The Role**

**As a Room Leader, you will**:

- Lead, inspire and mentor your team of early childhood educators
- Deliver engaging, play-based learning programs aligned with EYLF and NQS
- Create safe, inclusive, and stimulating environments for children
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Oversee program planning, documentation, and assessment
- Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance
- Act as the Responsible Person when required

**To succeed in this role, you will have**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of NQS, EYLF and relevant childcare legislation (must have)
- Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection training
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Previous experience as a Room Leader (at least 3 years) or Lead Educator (Assessment & Rating experience highly regarded)
- Hold at least 5 years of general experience in the industry
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Chinese/Vietnamese and/or Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian is desirable.

Must be available to extend shifts occasionally when needed, within the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 31 - 38 per week
