Endeavour's two Academic Coaches provide students with additional academic support, particularly at-risk and first-year students. The role can be located at any of Endeavour's campuses: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast or Brisbane. The role is either 4 or 5 days per week. Full-time staff may work three days per week in the office and two days per week from home. Staff who work four days per week may work one day per week from home.

**About the Role**
This role is a cornerstone of Endeavour’s multifaceted approach to supporting students. Endeavour's students are largely 'non-traditional': they are mostly part-time, working adults with caring responsibilities. Reporting to the Dean, the Academic Coach is responsible for supporting the academic skills of, and providing positive support and study strategies for, at-risk higher education students, particularly students in their first year of study.
The Academic Coach additionally supports at-risk students in accessing appropriate health, welfare, financial, cultural and disability services. The Academic Coach provides student support via Endeavour's Access & Equity program.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Provide academic support to higher education students with academic challenges relating to engagement, transition into higher education study, confidence, planning, time management, research, academic writing and academic success outcomes
- Monitor and report on the progress, engagement and outcomes of students in the coaching program
- Liaise with identified students to establish individual needs and potential solutions to resolving their academic challenges
- Assist students to identify solution-focused activities and strategies for academic success
- Integral to success in this position is the Academic Coach’s ability to work autonomously and show a high level of initiative and flexibility, along with good organisational and interpersonal skills.
**About You**
- Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Higher Education or Health Sciences
- Experience in higher education settings and online teaching preferred
