Lux Foundry is currently seeking an experienced barista to join the team.

We seek a driven and positive individual with a passion for coffee and people, with a love of working in very high-volume environment.

**Requirements**:

- Weekend and public holiday availability
- Previous experience in a specialty coffee business - Ability to follow brew recipes, understand parameters, extraction, developed palette
- Possess a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work with others
- Highly organized and intelligent work ethic
- An understanding of routine needs/operations required to maintain a well-run coffee bar
- Operates with efficiency and speed whilst executing product to a high standard
- Prioritizes the upkeep of a safe, clean, positive work environment
- Willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities:

- Greets customers with energy and warmth
- Provide efficient and consistent customer service and prepares and serves hot and cold beverages
- Technical knowledge and ability to produce exceptional quality coffee at a specialty standard
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment and service and seating areas
- Ability to work on the floor, serving customers
- Provide customers with product details, be passionate in your approach and demonstrate knowledge of all food and drink items
- Nurture positive relationships with employees, suppliers and customers
- Receives and processes customer payments
- Identify any repairs and maintenance needed
- Ensure quality products including presentation of beverages and any food items before they reach the customer, only the best will do
- Be organized and follow operating procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
- Ability to effectively restock to ensure adequate quantity and quality, including rotating stock
- Keep up to date with industry standards and technical knowledge
