Position Summary

**Job Description**:
The person in this position facilitates the buying process for the organisation and ensure component availability as required for smooth manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan and organise purchasing activities from a supplier base.
- Review supply activities and update ETAs for the open orders.
- Communicate with suppliers to achieve best delivery performance.
- Generate reports using system tools to analyse price variance and delivery performance.
- Liaise with Planning manager to coordinate the MRP run
- Participate in inventory obsolescence review process
- Ensure Material availability for current production by regular inventory review
- Maintain item database to ensure item certificate status for RoHS, 3TG etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to liaise effectively with persons inside and outside the organisation.
- Ability to extract data from the system and analyse to assist management decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- Experience in the manufacturing/gaming industry highly desirable.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving
- Knowledge of industry products
- Ability to communicate with associates and vendors
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions

**Qualifications**:
Experience, Education and Qualification:

- Previous experience in Purchasing with good exposure to communication with suppliers (local and overseas).
- Tertiary qualifications or similar are advantageous
