**Network Design and Integration** works to deliver transport priorities through the development, delivery and maintenance of an integrated pipeline of projects supporting the Major Transport Infrastructure Program, plan Victoria’s rail network, supports Road Safety Victoria and Freight for Victoria.
Road Safety Victoria is a Division within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for leading the Victorian Government to achieve Zero road fatalities by 2050.
**About the Role**
The Manager Road Safety Investment sits within the Road Safety Strategy and Investment Planning team under the Road Safety Strategy and Systems directorate in Road Safety Victoria. The Road Safety Strategy and Investment Planning team is responsible for developing the state’s road safety strategy and supplementary action plans, and supporting the development and delivery of a pipeline of road safety programs through sound analysis and investment planning, business case development and program delivery oversight.
The Manager Road Safety Investment is responsible for leading the development of a forward Road Safety investment program which includes strategic planning and the development of road safety business cases, TAC funded investment plans and guidelines.. The position will also oversee program management and project delivery under the Motorcycle Safety Levy program.
Leading a small team, the Manager Road Safety Investment is responsible for managing the analysis and strategic advice to identify, prioritise, sequence, and coordinate a future road safety program. The position requires an individual who works collaboratively with key road safety partners and across a range of government and non-government stakeholders to broker agreements to achieve whole of government road safety outcomes.
The Manager will lead the review of infrastructure investment, transport plans, government strategies and business cases to identify opportunities to embed road safety benefits and maximise investment opportunities to align with strategic road safety outcomes The Manager will also be responsible for monitoring delivery of projects and programs to ensure they align with the safe system approach and investment criteria.
