Our Brisbane portfolio includes the brand-new fine dining restaurant _TAMA_, cocktail bar _Gatsby_ and new upbeat restaurant & bar _Tax Office_.

**The Role**:
We are currently looking for highly experienced **Hosts** to join the team at the cocktail bar **Gatsby**. Become a part of the venue where history, imagination and great food and drink collide.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned areas.
- Inform guest of current promotion and who will be looking after them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
- Make, adjust, and cancel customer reservations
- Setting the ambience and atmosphere of the venue
- Ensuring that guests have a good time at the cocktail bar and look immediately into any complainants they might have
- Managing the flow of the restaurant and allocating tables to maximize seating capacity
- Overseeing the entire front-of-house area

**Position Requirements**:

- Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance.
- Must be able to clearly communicate guests' needs.
- Must be able to take direction from management team
- Must be able to give directions to a floor staff
- A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team
- Passion for providing extraordinary service
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
- Must be able to assist guests and possess great customer relations skills
- Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time
