To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a
**Principal Risk** to join our team on a 2 year fixed-term contract.

**The Role**

**Reporting to the General Counsel**, the purpose of this newly created position is to define and implement Arrow’s new risk framework. This involves partnering across Arrow’s divisions and teams to rapidly mature our governance, risk and assurance approach.

The position will liaise with key stakeholders to articulate Arrow’s risk appetite, and to put processes and systems in place that ensure Arrow systematically identifies, manages and mitigates significant risks. The position will develop risk taxonomy and a risk library, and will be involved in selecting and implementing a new digital platform.

This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.

**In addition you will**:

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Define and implement Arrow’s Risk Management Framework and risk management governing documents to ensure they are fit for Arrow’s purposes. The Framework should suit Arrow’s business activities and be aligned with industry-leading better practice. When implemented, the framework and governing documents will integrate with other relevant business practices, including Arrow’s approach to assurance.
- Support senior and executive leaders to identify and manage Arrow’s strategic risks, including by supporting them to understand control effectiveness and ensure additional mitigation options are identified.
- Work across Arrow to support the implementation of the new Risk Management Framework, and the identification and management of operational risks.
- Monitor risk management performance, identify themes and emerging risks and issues, report risk exposure and insights in a meaningful way, and recommend actions to improve risk management to senior leaders, executive leaders and relevant governance forums.
- Support shareholder audits and other internal assurance activities. Focus internal audit activities on organisational learnings and where possible, embed learnings in Arrow’s business processes to ensure improvements are sustained.
