**About the role**:
AGA is currently seeking an motivated individual who is keen to learn and develop administrative skills as a Full time Business Trainee working within a Secondary College. The role undertakes a range of tasks that provides a great level of support to the student wellbeing team as well as supporting the office administration staff.
As a Business Trainee you will be required to work Monday - Friday 38 hours a week. Whilst you are getting hands on experience working in the role you will also be undertaking a Certificate III in Business.

**The key responsibilities for this role include**:
**Financial**:
- Maintain the schools financial records.
- Prepare financial documentation and data for budget preparation.
- Maintain creditors and finance related systems in Compass and Cases21 when required.
- Maintain accounts receivable and account payable processes and monies received and expended.
- Ensure all relevant financial reports are checked and any discrepancy is investigated and reported to senior management.
- Provide advice to program coordinators and teaching staff on spending against the budget.
- Other relevant duties as determined by the Business Manager or Principal
- With Business Manager and Principal follow up any discrepancies or accounts outstanding.
**Administration**:
- Provide organisational, secretarial and administrative assistance to the College Administration Office so that an effective service is provided to the staff, community and students, including answering phones, managing reception desk, issuing late passes, receiving cash and EFT banking, stationary stock maintenance, welcoming and screening all visitors to school.
- Mail distribution as required.
- Provide administrative assistance to the College in relation to the co-ordination of special events, functions, forums, meetings to ensure effective and timely management, including catering arrangements.
- Adhere to and co-operate with all OHS policies and procedures of the College.
- Upload and maintain student enrolment systems including Compass and Cases21 when required.
- Manage the College First Aid room and administer/provide basic first aid.
**Requirements**:
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- Committed
- Must be an Australian citizen/ Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
- A driver’s license and own transportation is preferred
- Working with Children check is essential
