The Brisbane Produce Market is Queensland's only central fruit and vegetable market, and the state's most important centre for the wholesale marketing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables. It records an annual trade in excess of 700 million kilograms of produce valued at more than $2 billion.
General duties will include intake of stock, grading stock, picking orders, palletising stock, working in a team and communicating with other staff regarding the orders and stock.
This is a fast paced work environment and an **active role** that will require **'hands-on' labouring activities, **therefore you need to be **fit and healthy. ** The role is **approximately 35-40 hours per week, **working **Monday to Friday commencing between 1am and 3am each day.**
This role would be great for a person who has some but limited experience in the warehousing industry and wants to gain more experience and skills.
If you have a mature and responsible work ethic, hands-on labouring experience and have your own transport, this is an opportunity to join the Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Industry and enjoy an exciting and vibrant work environment.
