**_Tasks required in role_**
- Meeting, greeting and seating customers
- Full table service - delivering menus to customers, taking drink and food orders, setting tables with appropriate cutlery, delivering food and beverages to tables, clearing and cleaning tables.
- Taking take-away orders and running take-away items to customers
- Cold drink preparation - freshly squeezed juices, frappes, smoothies etc., peeling oranges, restocking cold drink section, maintaining clean and organised workspace.
- Plating cakes for service
- Restocking items daily to keep operations organised and efficient
- Cleaning. Morning set up and afternoon pack up.
- Assisting barista on machine in peak times/covering baristas break.

- An experienced cafe all rounder looking to work in an organised and efficient workplace, alongside a working owner and operator. No need to deal with politics that arise in places that are under management.
- We can support someone looking for 4-5 shifts per week.

- Sideways is an Inner West institution owned by two sisters and their partners, who have owned and operated the cafe for 15 years. We love the cafe and take responsibility by keeping staff and customers happy. At least one of the owners work as part of the team daily.
- Sideways is busy. Weekdays are quieter, weekends are very busy. Our staff thrive in a fast paced environment, work hard and are team players. They are remunerated for their effort. We seat up to 150 guests during peak times.
- Sideways selects team members seeking long-term employment. Our key staff usually stay with us for at least 5 years. Our desire to improve every year allows us to look after staff based on their loyalty and contribution to our business. Our staff retained hours and pay throughout Covid-19 last year.
