Junior Payroll Officer

**The Role**:
Initially you will be performing timesheet data entry into the payroll system. Bit by bit you will mentored and grow into payroll officer duties which will include:

- Prepare timesheet and labour data and enter into the payroll data entry system daily/weekly
- Perform payroll data checks daily/weekly and processing of payruns
- Employee payroll maintenance
- Transmit the weekly payroll bank files and assist with EFT transfer preparation
- General journal entries
- Payroll costing reports
- Employee forms for Centrelink, ATO, etc.
- Assist with employee pay queries
- End of Month processing and reporting
- Payroll taxes, superannuation, child support and garnishees
- Reconciliation of payroll GL accounts
- End of Financial Year processing

**To be success**:

- 1 year's experience processing payroll or junior payroll officer work
- MS Office Suite and payroll software system experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Problem solving mindset
- Excellent organisational skills and accuracy
- The desire to grow and be mentored
- Flexible and ‘can do’ attitude
