**The Company**:
Pinnacle Grains established a new Container packing facility just over a year ago and has been on a rapid growth curve with expanding demand for their services. The plant is located in Wattleup, close to the Kwinana Industrial area.
**The Business**:
Involves handling a variety of grain, receiving it by road train delivery, transferring it to silo storage and packing it out into shipping containers. The facility needs to be maintained in optimum condition to ensure efficient handling of the product and to meet customer expectations, which is time critical because of the narrow window of container availability.
**The Equipment**:
Includes Silos, Elevators, conveyors, augers, weighing equipment, heavy duty forklifts and container handling equipment.
**The Tasks include**:
- Develop an understanding of the required performance expectations of the plant and equipment to meet Company out turn requirements.
- Determine the critical plant and equipment components that will cause plant shutdown if they fail.
- Develop and implement a system to ensure that all plant and equipment is regularly maintained with particular emphasis on critical components.
- Organise appropriate internal and external resources to carry out planned work as necessary, but within the operational limitations of meeting customer requirements for products.
- Establish systems to record maintenance requirements and maintain the upkeep of these records as work is carried out.
- Keep a register of appropriate personnel or business’s that can be called upon in emergency situations to bring plant up to operational standard at an early date.
**The Person**:
Needs to be a self-starter with the ability to work in conjunction of other operational staff in the development of maintenance programs and schedules. Must have the ability and willingness to work Hands On in order to understand the issues with machines and equipment. Would need to know where to get external assistance for work that needs to be done outside the competencies of those on site. It is expected the person would have an Engineering Degree in a mechanical sphere and at least 2 years experience in a similar industry.
**The Conditions**:
The position is permanent full time, based on a normal 38 hour week with additional hours as needed to meet the demands of the plant and equipment. This is a Perth based job with no work travel envisaged.
**Remuneration**:
Determined by the capacity of the person but starting in the range of $80k to $90k pa plus the annual and personal leave, and superannuation benefits, as per legislation.
**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

- Bachelor Degree (preferred)
