Homeshare Housemate

**Are you a caring individual wanting to share a home and provide support and connection to an older adult in the northern Perth suburbs?**

Homeshare brings people together in shared households on carefully negotiated and supported shared living arrangements. This can deliver viable, affordable and sustainable housing options.

Homeshare is underpinned by the belief that the companionship of a shared living arrangement can help negate feelings of social isolation and enhance the wellbeing of all in the household. Through the sharing of skills and experiences, each householder and Homesharer can enrich the lives of those with whom they share.

We are seeking a Homeshare housemate, ideally female and aged over 40 years or with a mature mindset, to live with an older woman seeking companionship and practical assistance around the home and in the community.

Our prospective Homesharer will be someone warm, kind, and friendly, who is seeking to share a sense of home and belonging with our customer. The Homesharer will be asked to provide 10 hrs of practical assistance per week in lieu of rent. This assistance could include food shopping, attending an occasional social or community event together, some gardening, and “hanging out” as housemates do.

Our householder lives in the north metropolitan region of Perth, and can offer you a private fully furnished bedroom, private bathroom, secure carport, and shared living area, kitchen, dining, laundry, and backyard.
