A Magical Time Children's Centre is a locally owned and operated child care centre with amazing children, families and educators.

Our centre prides itself on being family orientated and our educators are included in our A Magical Time family. We employ over ratios every day and offer mentor programs to assist each and every one of our educators.

We are searching for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and fun person to join our team as an early childhood Trainee.
- A big smile that will brighten a child's day.
- Throughout the course of the day, you will have to multi task and be prepared to perform many different roles - for example if a child requests you to be a disney princess, then you must have the ability to be the best princess that you can be and/or you may be required to make a cup of tea using sand and water and act that it is the best tea in town while you pretend to drink it.
- The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a group of tiny humans is essential
- You must have big warm hugs and so much love to share.
- Having eyes in the back of your head is essential.
- You must have the ability to read a story book upside down and after at least 5 interruptions per page be able to pick up where you left off (or make up a realistic ending that can convince some of the smartest 4 year olds in town).
- The ability to engage in lots of fun activities throughout the day and being prepared for messy play is a daily requirement.
- The best part is you will make some wonderful friends with our amazing team of educators and everyday is different.
- current working with children check (or intention to get one upon confirmation of employment) is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $11.13 - $23.11 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Newcastle, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (Year 9-11) (preferred)

- Australia (required)
