The Opportunity
Sunnybank Green Retirement Village is a tranquil community, set on well-maintained tropical gardens, offering a peaceful retirement living lifestyle for our independent living residents. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens, grounds and fixtures around the retirement community. You'll enjoy spending your day attending to a wide variety of tasks including minor domestic repairs around the village, preventative maintenance/cleaning tasks and ensuring our wonderful gardens are kept well-maintained. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, connecting with others and loves working in a small team.

This opportunity is permanent full-time working Monday to Friday 8-4pm

You will
  • Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
  • Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors
  • Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
What you will bring
  • Skilled in domestic repair/maintenance and gardening tasks (e.g using tools, painting, mowing etc.)
  • A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day
  • Valid driver's licence and two (2) COVID vaccinations (required)
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
