Safety Quality Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Quality Specialist to join our team at Brownes Dairy. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products.
As a Safety Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for championing safety and quality across all facets of our business. This includes actively reviewing and investigating incidents, liaising with departmental staff to ensure CARs are closed in a timely fashion, and managing and reporting on progress in our relevant systems.
You will also be responsible for integrating our compliance strategies by developing strong line management and other relationships within the organization. Additionally, you will support senior management initiatives in a positive manner, promote and actively support all continuous improvement programs, and propose and implement preventative or corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively review and investigate incidents in line with the safety representative role.
- Liaise with departmental staff to ensure CARs are closed in a timely fashion & manage & report on the progress in the relevant system.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders regarding safety & quality issues with a view to continuous improvement.
- Integrate the organisation's compliance strategies by developing strong line management & other relationships within the organisation.
- Support Senior management initiatives in a positive manner.
- Promote and actively support all continuous improvement programs.
- Propose & implement preventative or corrective actions.
- Collect & analyse data relating to safety & quality.
- Ensure the department achieves relevant targets.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and directions.
- Actively promote and find ways to increase safety & quality of product.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different departments across the business at all levels.
- Driven and proactive individual with knowledge of industrial relations and Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing and production facilities for short shelf life in food products would be desirable.
- A qualification in Frontline Management or similar is preferred.
