Multidisciplinary Therapist

At CatholicCare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced therapist to join our team as a Multidisciplinary Therapist specializing in child protection.
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified therapist to work with families affected by child abuse and neglect. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for providing in-home and community-based interventions to reduce the impact of physical abuse and/or neglect, and to increase overall family functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based MST-CAN therapy to families affected by child abuse and neglect
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services to families
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address complex family needs
- Provide ongoing supervision and support to junior staff members
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Requirements:
- Masters degree qualification in Psychology or Social Work (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapies, including MST-CAN and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Please Note:
Candidates must be available to provide periodic on-call 24-hour telephone coverage.
Estimated salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits.
