We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defence Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal part in shaping our digital security strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a real impact and drive business growth.

The role will involve working closely with our cyber team to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to protect our assets from emerging threats. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for owning the SIEM, fine-tuning and automating the defence environment, and collaborating with the team to identify and resolve escalated incidents.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement effective security solutions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the cyber team to identify and respond to security incidents, providing timely and effective mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of emerging threats and technologies, including AI and machine learning.
  • Work closely with leadership to shape our long-term security strategy and inform key business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SOC or cyber engineering, responding to and resolving escalated cyber incidents.
  • Strong technical skills in SIEM (preferably Microsoft Sentinel), KQL, and automation tools like Logic Apps or Power Automate.
  • Skilled in Python scripting, log analysis, and working across large data sets to isolate problems and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
