Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Staff Android Engineer to lead the development of our mobile experience. You'll be responsible for shaping the next evolution of our platform, powering real-world connections for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop core Android features, including hardware integrations, widgets, and system components.
  • Design scalable mobile architectures and influence platform-wide patterns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build seamless user experiences.
  • Drive internal tooling, process improvements, and performance optimisations.
  • Mentor Android engineers and guide technical decision-making across teams.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Android development, with deep proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
  • A track record of architecting complex mobile systems using MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
  • Strong leadership in cross-functional technical initiatives and mobile strategy.
  • Familiarity with Android performance, security, and design best practices.
  • A passion for mentoring, collaboration, and building with long-term impact in mind.
