About the Role

The Calibration Engineer is responsible for providing professional and timely technology support to SA Pathology and its customer base by:

  1. Undertaking a range of tasks involving the calibration, planned and remedial maintenance of biomedical and other equipment, devices and instrumentation to appropriate standards and to accurately document the results.
  2. Applying professional judgement, knowledge and practice in the provision of Calibration Engineering service and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
  3. Liaising with laboratory staff, outside agencies and contractors on technical matters.

The Calibration Engineer is a hands-on professional within a small multi-discipline team.

Essential Requirements:
  1. Current National Police Clearance (NPC).
  2. Working With Children Check (DHS).
  3. Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
  1. TGO2 - A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant Technical discipline.
  2. PO1 - Degree in Engineering and eligible for professional membership with Engineers Australia (IEAUST).
