Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across various service areas, including general maintenance, extensive repairs, and specialized bus services. Your daily tasks will involve handling a diverse range of Volvo, Mack, and UD models, from initial inspections to complex electrical repairs, including our Hybrid buses. This position offers a fantastic chance to enhance your skills and become a leading mechanic in the industry.

Your Primary Duties
  1. Conduct repairs, servicing, and inspections on engines, transmissions, braking systems, differentials, and more for a variety of trucks and buses.
  2. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software for thorough analysis and troubleshooting.
  3. Create detailed reports documenting all repairs performed, including materials used and prioritized recommendations.
  4. Assist and mentor apprentice mechanics and other team members.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Possession of a minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Trade.
  2. Experience in the heavy vehicle sector, particularly with American, European, or Japanese drivetrains, is preferred but not mandatory.
  3. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a customer-oriented team.
  4. A current HC/HR driver's license is advantageous but not essential.
  5. Demonstrated pride in workmanship with a focus on achieving high standards and targets.
  6. Strong motivation, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
  7. Effective communication skills with a strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
  8. Possession of personal tools (specialized tools are available from our in-house tool room).
