St Pius X High School, a coeducational Catholic institution, is seeking a Temporary Part Time Secondary Science Teacher to join their team in January for 12 months. The school aims for excellence in all areas of study, providing opportunities for students to experience success.

Students regularly perform well above state averages in NAPLAN tests and achieve high marks in the Higher School Certificate.

Experience/Criteria
  • The ability to articulate a clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic Education, supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
  • Applying appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments, meeting diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise assessment and relevant school data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
  • An innovative and agile mindset that supports and enhances a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment.

Qualifications

  • A four-year trained teacher qualification.
  • Active National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) accreditation.
  • A current paid NSW Working with Children Check number.
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training.
  • Completion of CPR training.

This opportunity offers a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, in line with the New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
