Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Operations Director to lead our vegetation recycling facilities in New South Wales. This is a full-time role based at Ingleside, with travel required to other locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement effective waste and recycling strategies for vegetation debris, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainability within the organisation.
  • Manage logistics on the site, including team building, work scheduling, mobile plant & equipment maintenance, and general knowledge of recycled products.
  • Develop business opportunities and oversee day-to-day production and logistics activities, monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of production staff to drive productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • A strong background in either recycling and/or waste management, with supervisory or management experience.
  • Significant experience in a depot management type role, preferably in the recycling and/or waste management industry.
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage financial performance of operations, including forecasting, budget, and P&L.
  • Proven ability to build business through leveraging existing and new clients and delivering great outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the recycling and waste management sector.
