About the Role

The Middle Leader – Curriculum supports the Leadership Team with the educational vision and mission of the school community. The role of the Middle Leader – Curriculum is to provide visionary leadership by leading the planning, development and implementation of contemporary innovative practices that encourages excellence in the SCIENCE learning area to improve student learning outcomes and build student engagement, voice and agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, development and implementation of contemporary innovative practices in the SCIENCE learning area.
  • Provide visionary leadership to support the educational vision and mission of the school community.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies to improve student learning outcomes and build student engagement, voice and agency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with teachers, staff and stakeholders to promote a culture of excellence in SCIENCE education.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SCIENCE education programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
