Domestic Services Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our Domestic Services team at Williamstown Hostel on a part-time basis. As a Domestic Services Assistant, you will be working across our cleaning and laundry teams.

  • To clean resident rooms, common areas, office spaces, cleaners and staff room as scheduled
  • To replenish & maintain stock levels
  • Cleaning & Laundry duties as per schedule
  • To ensure provision of clean laundry throughout the home at all times
  • Assist the Food Services team with delivery and serving of food and drinks as scheduled
Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will require:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning/laundry role - preferably in Aged Care/Health Care
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • A non-judgmental approach to working with people
  • Qualifications and experience in food handling, infection control, manual handling and the use of cleaning chemicals (highly advantageous)
  • Food Safety Certificate and Food Handlers Certificate (highly advantageous)
  • Physically able to perform manual tasks including (but not limited to) bending & lifting
