About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to be part of a dynamic team that prioritises quality, reliability, and exceptional client service.

  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for formwork, concrete placing & finishing, and steel fixing services, using your expertise to ensure accurate quantification of materials and labour needs.
  • Quoting Process: Manage the quoting process from preparation to submission, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with project managers, architects, and clients.
  • Take-Off Software: Utilise take-off software to accurately quantify materials and labour needs, streamlining the estimating process and enhancing productivity.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyse project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and project requirements, providing valuable insights to inform pricing decisions.
  • Budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goals, while identifying potential risks and providing mitigation strategies.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure project success, demonstrating a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates and quote submissions in the system, ensuring seamless tracking and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure clear communication and successful outcomes, fostering strong relationships and building trust.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure competitive and accurate estimates, maintaining a sharp eye on market developments.
About You
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, particularly in formwork projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in take-off software, estimation software, and Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and build rapport.
  • Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, ensuring precision in estimate preparation and quotation submission.
