About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented High-Quality Site Lead to join our diverse and inclusive team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Cloud Operations + Innovation organization, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the high standard and reliability of our data center construction projects.
The High-Quality Site Lead will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control processes throughout the construction period, working collaboratively with our project team to ensure that day-to-day execution on site adheres to our processes and project parameters. You will report directly to the project's Site Construction Lead/Manager and work closely with the Regional Quality Manager to ensure consistency in the promotion and implementation of our planned QAQC programs.
As a matrixed member of our global construction quality team, you will have the opportunity to accelerate your career growth while contributing to the maturation of our site quality processes into a comprehensive QAQC program. You will become adept at navigating data and analytics and develop a broad knowledge-based understanding of how data centers are built, delivered, and operated.

About the Position
This role requires a minimum of 5-15 years of experience in building construction, with expertise in MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) and Civil/Architectural construction quality management, commissioning, quality control testing, preferably in data center construction or industrial construction reliant on specific installation practices and adherence.
You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will need to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and promote open and inclusive communication.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, quality management, or related fields is preferred. Relevant experience in construction or commissioning, including relevant certifications, is also desirable.
Responsibilities
This role involves:
- Reviewing and approving General Contractor Project Quality Plans;
- Overseeing, training, and counseling project staff to ensure consistency in auditing and execution against Microsoft project quality specifications and standards;
- Leading and managing quality awareness promotions to enhance the quality culture and outputs on the project;
- Fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment by collaborating closely with construction, commissioning, procurement, design, and operations stakeholders;
- Addressing quality issues and ensuring necessary modifications are made to keep to budget, schedule, and scope for improved project delivery;
- Executing project audits and ensuring audit goals are met; and
- Consolidating, analyzing, and reporting key audit data regularly to ensure compliance and conformance.
