About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathways Worker to join our team at Sacred Heart Mission. As a key member of our community services team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who visit our Meals Program and Engagement Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients and provide assessment information, advocacy, crisis intervention, referrals, and a friendly chat.
  • Connect clients to a wide range of internal and external support services, including case management, Sacred Heart Community, Women's Services, and accommodation options.
  • Meet new clients and conduct assertive engagement, responding to their complex needs in a holistic way.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree qualifications relevant to the delivery of community services.
  • Experience working in homelessness, mental health, and/or community settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well as part of a team.
  • Able to work with complex clients and demonstrate de-escalation tactics towards challenging behavior.
What We Offer
  • A permanent part-time role working Wednesday - Saturday (Wed - Fri 8:00 - 3:00, Sat 8:30 - 2:30).
  • Pay classification Social and Community Services Employee Level 4 ($44-46 per hour, dependent on experience and qualification).
  • Salary packaging expenses like your rent, holiday accommodation, and dining out: up to $15,990 pre-tax.
  • Access to in-house training and career development opportunities.
  • A supportive work environment with regular line manager direct supervision, clinical group reflective practice, Psychological First Aid, EAP, and Community of Practice spaces.
