Job Title: Middle School English Instructor

As a middle school English educator, your primary responsibility is to provide students with engaging learning activities and experiences in the core subject area of English language arts.

Enable students to develop essential competencies and skills to succeed in academic and professional settings.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum requirements and reflect accommodations for individual student differences.

Conduct assessments of student learning styles and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.

Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students.

Take on additional responsibilities such as extracurricular activities as assigned.

Present a positive role model for students; uphold the mission and values of the educational institution.

Establish a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.

Manage student behavior according to the Student Code of Conduct and handbook policies.

Establish and maintain open communication with parents, colleagues, and community members.

Adhere to state, district, and school regulations and policies governing classroom instructors.

Attend faculty meetings and participate in staff committees as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English language arts courses to middle school students.
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with district standards.
  • Assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English education or related field.
  • Teaching certification or license in English language arts.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
