Job Title

Procurement Specialist: Contract Management and Supply Chain Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Procurement Specialist, focusing on contract management and supply chain expertise.

This role involves providing guidance on procurement procedures, tenders determination, and tendering procedures. You will ensure that tenders are advertised and opened in accordance with relevant legislation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing council's social procurement agenda, encompassing sustainability, indigenous inclusion, disability inclusion, modern slavery, and local support.
  • Managing a standardized approach across the organization for contractor performance reviews and ensuring the database is up-to-date.
  • Providing support and training to staff on Council's electronic procurement system, Technology One.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in all facets of procurement, including supplier evaluation and selection, tendering, and contract preparation.
  • Local Government experience, preferably in purchasing and supply.
  • Territory qualifications or equivalent professional experience in Purchasing and Supply.
