We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fire Communications Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls and coordinating resources to ensure the safety of our communities.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the appropriate response.
- Coordinate the deployment of resources, including fire trucks and personnel, to emergency scenes.
- Monitor alarm signals and respond accordingly.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to new staff members.
- Contribute to the improvement of operational and administrative systems and procedures.
- Currently holds a valid Blue Card.
- Australian Citizenship, New Zealand Citizenship, or Australian Resident Status.
- Have or ability to obtain Certificate III in Public Safety (Emergency Communications Centre Operations).
- Ability to successfully complete training programs.
- Typing speed of 45 wpm with 95% accuracy.
- Have or ability to obtain Apply First Aid and CPR Certificates.
