Job Title: Heavy Haulage Driver

Location: Kalgoorlie, Western Australia

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role as a Heavy Haulage Driver in the mining sector. Your expertise behind the wheel will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of bulk materials across mine sites and remote routes using heavy haulage vehicles.

You will be responsible for conducting daily pre-start checks, maintaining your vehicle to a high standard, and ensuring each load is delivered safely and on time.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate heavy haulage vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
  • Load and unload materials, using a front-end loader.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery times.
  • Follow established safety procedures and protocols for vehicle maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Current & Valid Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.
  • Commercial Drivers Fatigue Management Certificate (validity within 2 years)
  • National Police Clearance
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Haulage Driver – transporting heavy loads with a front-end loader.
  • Experience operating in an on-road and off-road environment.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
