Account Management Role

 

About the Job

Manage an assigned portfolio, ensuring customer retention and driving new business opportunities.

We coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Direct daily activities of the account management team.
  • Handle customer inquiries, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct market research, prepare proposals, negotiate coverages, and present solutions.
  • Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances.
  • Maintain data accuracy and completeness in agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.
  • Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Required active Property & Casualty licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
