Administrative Coordinator: Leadership and Operational Support

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational leadership and support in the Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT) at Deakin University.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procedures for end-to-end research related programs, ensuring clear instructions and expectations for all parties.
- Provide strategic advice on business, research delivery, and performance matters, facilitating effective management of the Institute's functions and resources.
- Coordinate and manage travel support programs, assess funding applications, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage recruitment, appointments, and reappointments, including honorary and visitor appointments, and liaise with relevant areas to address enquiries and resolve issues.
- Lead the review and ongoing management of emergency management procedures and processes for the HERB site, aligning with Deakin and Barwon Health policies.
- Undertake reporting tasks, including ad hoc and scheduled reports, drawing accurate conclusions and condensing complex information into clear themes.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months. The successful candidate will have a degree and at least 4 years of subsequent relevant experience in human resource administration, academic research administration, finance, or related activities in a large organisation.

- Excellent numerical skills to work with financial data and research-related numerical information.
- Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this role is $101,858 - $112,156 per annum, plus superannuation.
