About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Professional to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.

As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and responsive cleaning and housekeeping services across our hospital campus.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Waste management: removing general waste, clinical waste, sharps waste, recyclables, and confidential waste in accordance with our waste management policies.
  • Floor maintenance: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, buffing, and steam cleaning floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Detail dusting and damp wiping: all low and high-reach areas, including fixtures, fittings, equipment, vents, walls, and sinks.
  • Bathroom maintenance: cleaning toilets, hand basins, shower rooms, baths, and facilities to ensure a high standard of hygiene.
  • General tidiness: maintaining the overall tidiness of public and service areas.

You will work closely with our team to ensure that our hospital campus is clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and staff.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in cleaning, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in floor care maintenance, including steam cleaning, polishing, and buffing (desirable).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain.
