Job Opportunity: Resident Field Service Fitter
This is a permanent full-time position as part of a leading OEM with long term job security. The role has the earning capacity of 130k+ inclusive of overtime and bonuses paid twice yearly.
About the Role
The field service technician will be responsible for providing diagnostic, repair and maintenance services to customer equipment in the Gippsland Region in Victoria. This is a position in which you can work autonomously and make it your own with the full support of our Melbourne branch and wider company network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance
- Building and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer base in the region
- Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork
- Conducting work in compliance with quality and safety standards and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic)
- Proven track-record as a heavy diesel mechanic with earthmoving/heavy machinery experience
- OEM equipment experience highly regarded
- Current driver's license
- Ability to work autonomously in the region and proactively solve technical issues
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette
- An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
