**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating healthy menus for children of all ages. You will have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fun-loving team where you will be encouraged to utilise your skills and experience to create engaging and nutritious meals for children.

About You:

  • You must be an efficient and capable cook with experience in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
  • You should be able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages.
  • You need to be strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • You must be able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs.
  • You should be keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events.

Requirements:

  • You should hold a Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is desirable.
  • You should have experience in an early childhood setting.
  • You must have reliable transport to and from our centre.
  • You should hold a current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
