Job Description for Cost Manager

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional results for our clients. As a Cost Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively as part of a cost management team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Perform cost planning and cost estimating duties to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Measure quantities based on design drawings to ensure accurate costing.
  • Provide pre-contract cost planning services during design stages of projects.
  • Prepare post-contract progress claims and variation assessments, and cost reporting.
  • Engage with the local property market to gain market knowledge and insights.
  • Commission management to support the delivery of our services.
  • Collaborate with full cost management and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Demonstrate business development skills to identify new opportunities and grow our client base.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A recognized degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is desired.
  • MAIQS or MRICS certification is advantageous.
  • Consultancy environment work experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in the use of CostX is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent report and bid writing skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
