Senior Bookkeeper Opportunity

Nexia Perth is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our Corporate Services team. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, as well as providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices and manage creditor pay runs, adhering to relevant approval processes and uploading payments to the bank.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and processing receipts.
  • Oversee payroll management and processing, including superannuation and salary sacrificing arrangements, utilizing Xero, Keypay & Myob software.
  • Prepare IAS & BAS returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct end-of-month balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and provide support to the team as needed.
  • Identify potential issues or opportunities in day-to-day work and escalate to Managers or Directors.
  • Liaise directly with clients to respond to queries or provide information, as requested.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in bookkeeping, including end-of-period procedures, working to tight deadlines, and excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or higher, and 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
