About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a high-security facility. Reporting to the Catering Manager, you will oversee the preparation and delivery of a diverse and nutritious menu that caters to the dietary needs of detainees. Your team will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control. You will work closely with managers, employees, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.

About You

You are a seasoned Chef with a proven track record in managing large-scale catering operations. You possess excellent leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with demanding business objectives and requirements.

Your ideal skills and experience

  • Certificate III or higher in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery or Trade Qualifications)
  • Up-to-date Basic Food Hygiene / Food Safety Handling Certificate (SITXFSA101 or SITXOHS002A)
  • Extensive experience in a large catering operation at Executive Chef level
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of HACCP documentation, compliance, and auditing
  • Current full Australian Driver's Licence (desirable)
